Just his name- Colt McCoy, sounds like a gun slinging QB name. A name even as gun slinging as Brett Farve or Sammy Baugh. But that’s not the only reason why we think McCoy will be a great QB in the NFL and ultimately be a better QB than both Bradford and Clausen.

Here are the reasons why:

His leadership skills are out standing-
He only trails Tim Tebow when it comes to motivating his players and leading them down the field for a touchdown.
His leadership skills could help him greatly in this year’s draft as NFL teams are always looking for a great leader at QB.

His consistency is amazing-
After being redshirted his freshman year, McCoy has been the starter, and has done incredibly well. He broke the record for most Lo
nghorn TD’s in a season the first year he started, only to break it again two years latter. He also lead his team to four consecutive bowl games, winning three in a row, only to injury his shoulder in the first quarter of this last year’s BCS bowl loss.

He is as accurate as a calculator-
His accuracy is unsurpassable. Not only can he hit short routes with pin point accuracy, he can nail medium and long range passes with ease, putting them in spots only his receivers can catch them. He is the most accurate passer in this draft.

He is mobile-
Sometimes his mobility can be over looked, but McCoy moves very well in the pocket and in open space. He is sometimes considered a dual threat QB because his mobility is so impressive. He would be able to make plays with his feet ala Fran Tarkenton if the team that selects him doesn’t have a high quality offensive line.

So what does this all break down to? In the end McCoy will be the best QB selected from this year’s draft. He will be similar to how Jay Cutler was viewed before his draft, slightly over looked because of bigger names, but will eventually emerge as the best. Another thing on McCoy’s side, is his comparison to Drew Brees. And that statement is correct. That vibe he puts off could be a tool that will help him get drafted higher up than what everybody thinks. Unfortunately, the wealth of offensive and defensive linemen in the draft will make McCoy fall. But we could see him still possibly getting picked in the first round.  But overall some where between 25-40. Some teams in the first round could be Arizona or Minnesota.

We will have to see latter this month. Until then, check out our twitter for up to the minute updates and drop by here to read are in depth articles.

Here is a month away mock draft:
1 St. Louis Sam Bradford QB
Could be the QB to lead the Rams back to their “greatest show on turf” days.
2 Detroit Ndamukong Suh DT
The most talented player in the draft. Will immediately bolster the Lion’s line. A great counter part to Vanden Bosch
3 Tampa Bay Gerald McCoy DT
Could be the missing piece in the Buc’s defense.
4 Washington Russel Okung OT
Shanahan loves a solid LT. Zimmerman, Lepsis and Clady all played underneath him, Okung could be the next.
5 Kansas City Bryan Bulaga OT
There is no shortage of tackles in this years draft. Bulaga is the obvious best behind Okung. A Pioli type player.
6 Seattle Eric Berry S
The Seahawks desperately need a force in the secondary. Eric Berry is a solid player that is ready to make an impact.
7 Cleveland Jimmy Clausen QB
Holmgren has stated that he wants to draft a QB. Clausen could be that QB that the Browns haven’t seen since Kosar.
8 Oakland Trent Williams OT
After drafting a disappointing Robert Gallery, the Raiders are ready to move onto a new Chapter. Williams could be it.
9 Buffalo Anthony Davis OT
The Bills need a LT to get back on top as an offensive power house like they were in the early 90’s.
10 Miami Brandon Graham OLB/DE
DC Mike Nolan would love a rusher similar to Dumervil. Graham draws the most comparison, he could replace Taylor.
11 Denver Dan Williams DT
After signing aging vet Williams, the Broncos need a NT for the future. Dan Williams would make an immediate impact.
12 Jacksonville Jason Pierre-Paul DE
After an abysmal 14 sack season, the Jags need a great blitzing option. Pierre-Paul could be the difference.
13 San Francisco Joe Haden CB
The Niners’ secondary need new life. Haden could be the answer, but he must prove he can play at NFL speed.
14 Seattle Charles Brown LT
The Seahawks need a replacemnt for Walter Jones. Plus he would complement Clausen.
15 New York Giants CJ Spiller RB
The Giants need to return to their great running game from a few season ago. CJ is the best available RB.
16 San Francisco Sergio Kindle OLB
The Niners could use a great blitzer to bolster their defense. Kindle was a stand out at Texas and could be better here.
17 Tennessee Rolando McClain MLB
The Titans need a vocal leader in the middle. McClain is the best MLB in the draft and could make a great impact.
18 Pittsburgh Bruce Campbell OT
The Steelers could use help on the O-line. Campbell could make an instant impact.
19 Atlanta Derrick Morgan DE
The Falcons could use a great blitzer to compliment Abraham. Morgan is a solid choice.
20 Houston Kyle Wilson CB
With the loss of Dunta Robinson, the Texans could use a new CB. Wilson could be the answer.
21 Cincinnati Jermaine Gresham TE
The Bengals could use a weapon to upgrade their passing game. He would be a great addition to Cincy receiving corp.
22 New England Dez Bryant WR
With Moss supposedly out the door. Bryant could prove to be a solid deep threat.
23 Green Bay Mike Iupati OG
The Packers are in desperate need of O-Line help. Iupati could help make the Packers number 1.

24 Philadelphia Sean Witherspoon MLB
Philly would be a great place for Witherspoon to land. He is a vocal leader, one Philly has been lacking since Dawkins.
25 Baltimore Earl Thomas S
The Ravens are unsure of Reed’s future, that’s why taking Thomas at 25 is a genius move.
26 Arizona Maurkice Pouncy OG
The Cards could use all the help they can get going into the Leinart era.
27 Dallas Taylor Mays S
Mays is a beast of a man. 6’3 230 and fast as lightning as well as a hard hitter. But coverage is his pitfall.
28 San Diego Jahvid Best RB
The Chargers need someone to replace LT. Jahvid Best is an LT clone that could spark their running game immediately.
29 New York Jets Golden Tate WR
The Jets could use a niche in their offense. Tate is a explosion waiting to happen. This year’s Percy Harvin.
30 Minnesota Brian Price DT
Price could replace the aging Pat Williams and still keep the Vikes D-Line #1.
31 Indianapolis Everson Griffin DE
Could make an impact while complementing Freeney and Mathis.
32 New Orleans Ricky Sapp DE
Sapp could also help the Saint blitzing game, especially with Grant’s departure.

Check in later for an updated mock draft.
